Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures

Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools

Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks

Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools
-
Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement and steel
-
Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rulers, micrometers and plumb bobs
-
Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.

Assemble machines using bolts, welds, rivets or other fastening devices using hand tools
-
Operate lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications

Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
-
Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved

Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drill holes with power drill.

Attached pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms using bolts and clamps
-
Attach load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes and chains, to crane hook
-
Set up, brace and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches
-
Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle
-
May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment
-
Maintain a professional appearance

Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent
