Description:
The Regional Sales Leader is responsible for driving the company’s growth and expanding its footprint within a defined geographical territory (Bozeman and Billings). This role involves identifying new business opportunities, establishing strong client relationships, and developing strategic initiatives to achieve and exceed sales and revenue objectives. The RSL will lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) in the territory, ensuring performance excellence through leadership, management, and accountability. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions.
Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in construction-related sales, business development, or account management, with a strong focus on construction materials or related industries.
- Proven track record of successful lead generation, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
- Experience leading a region or sales territory is highly preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel locations include company offices, job sites, industry events, and training venues.
- The frequency and duration of travel will depend on business needs, with trips ranging from several times a month to weekly.
- Travel will primarily be by car, with occasional flights for longer distances.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies designed to achieve measurable revenue targets, increase market share, and drive growth across the assigned region.
- Set regional sales and revenue goals, establish actionable plans, and track performance to ensure targets are exceeded.
- Continuously analyze market trends, customer behavior, and data to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Proactively seek and secure opportunities in both existing and emerging markets to enhance regional profitability and competitiveness.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide leadership and oversight of BDRs within the region, ensuring alignment with company goals while setting and enforcing individual and team performance targets.
- Act as a mentor and coach for BDRs, enhancing their skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Drive accountability by providing actionable feedback on performance, customer engagement, and sales outcomes, and developing corrective measures to achieve positive results.
Customer and Relationship Management:
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to establish trust and drive long-term satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value accounts, supporting strategic negotiations and closing key deals.
- Work collaboratively to evaluate potential clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions to meet business objectives.
Business Development and Lead Management:
- Support BDRs in nurturing leads, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and driving deal closures.
- Partner with vendors and industry leaders to maximize opportunities within the territory and ensure customer success with product implementation.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows, building strategic partnerships and expanding professional networks.
Financial and Performance Oversight:
- Monitor and report on key regional sales metrics, ensuring alignment with targets and profitability benchmarks. Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to adjust sales strategies that directly impact profitability and market share growth.
- Manage the regional sales budget, making data-driven recommendations to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Identify areas for operational process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and regional profitability.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports and updates to the executive leadership team, providing insights into regional activities and progress towards goals.
- Provide feedback to internal teams about customer preferences and market trends to optimize company strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Assist in the development of sales enablement tools and training programs to empower BDRs and improve sales cycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, including sales, marketing, purchasing, operations, and accounting, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of objectives.
- Share market feedback on customer preferences to inform internal decision-making and improve offerings.
