Description:
The Senior HR Generalist acts as the primary contact for employee relations issues, offering guidance and support to both employees and managers. They resolve conflicts and grievances, conduct investigations into complaints and policy violations, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards. They also provide interpretation of company policies and employment laws, develop initiatives to boost employee engagement and retention, and advise management on disciplinary actions. The Sr HR Generalist assists leaders in recruitment and onboarding, supports performance management processes, ensures HR compliance with laws and regulations, and maintains accurate and confidential employee records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Ability to effectively lead HR initiatives, communicate clearly and persuasively with employees and management, and resolve conflicts.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple HR tasks, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Expertise in managing the recruitment cycle, conducting interviews, coordinating new hire processes, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, ensuring that all HR practices are compliant.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations and Support (60%)
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances in a timely, fair, and consistent manner.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, policy violations, and other workplace issues, ensuring documentation and resolution comply with company policies and legal standards.
- Policy Interpretation: Provide interpretation and guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment laws to employees and management.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Disciplinary Actions: Advise management on appropriate disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and adherence to company policies.
Core HR Functions (40%)
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, including job posting, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including meeting annual reporting requirements.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and benefits communications.
- Employee Files: Maintain and update employee files, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
Benefits:
This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $71,800 - $108,100, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
